Bogor
The beautiful places in Bogor are:
* Bogor Botanical Garden (the greatest botanical garden in the
world), located in the center of Bogor city.
* Zoological Museum of Bogor (Museum Zoology Bogor), located at
Bogor Botanical Garden.
* Orchid Garden (there are a lot of kinds of orchids and suculents
from all over the world), also located at Bogor Botanical Garden.
* Safari Park in Cipanas county (40 km from Bogor to the East).
* Gunung Gede-Pangrango National Park, located in Cibodas county (50
km from Bogor to the East).
* Water falls of Cibeureum, located at Gunung Gede-Pangrango
National Park.
* Cibodas Botanical Garden (Botanical garden for mountain plants),
also located at Gunung Gede-Pangrango National Park.
* Telaga warna (the Coloured Lake), located in Puncak Pass county
(35 km from Bogor to the East)
* Curug Luhur (the great water falls) is located at Gunung Salak in
Ciapus county. The most famous fruits produced from this place is
the sweet-dry pineapple of Gunung Salak and Durian Rancamaya.
Bogor = Buitenzorg ! ( ... the Dutch called the city !). Buitenzorg
means the city of aren (Arenga pinnata), because there were a lot of
aren tress in Bogor.
