in the human services for 4 years, was a Coast Guard officer
for 10 years and was a self employed consultant prior to
entering the PhD program at Memphis State.
My research interests include global strategy by firms and I am consider
considering a dissertation topic which would include looking at the
ways that firms develop and diversify in small domestic market countries
including developing countries. I am particularly interested in
examining the patterns of diversification - do firms first expand
into other countries (via export or FDI) or do they expand intoo
other product lines in their own countries?
I anticipate looking at patterns of development in 3 or four countries,
most likely including Indonesia as one of those countries.
