She received a master's degree in arts and religion from Yale University and a PhD in theology from Vanderbilt University. It takes place on May 5 from 2:00PM to 9:00PM and continues May 6 from 8:30AM to 4:00PM.</p> <p>Keynote speakers include Dr. Chris Mato Nunpa (retired professor, elder and activist, Yellow Medicine Community), Dr. Neil McKay (Dakota language instructor, University of MN, Spirit Lake Country), and Dr. Waziyatawin (scholar, activist, Yellow Medicine Community). </p> <p>Treaty of 1805 panel members include Dr. Howard Vogel (retired Hamline School of Law), Barbara Ann Nimis (attorney) and Larry Leventhal (attorney). </p> <p>Elders Panel includes Elitta (Cavender) Gouge (Yellow Medicine community), Sandy (Columbus) Geshick (Redwood Community), and Faith Bad Moccasin (Crow Creek Reservation). Allies Panel includes Mary Beth Faimon (retired professor), Barbara Ann Nimis (attorney), Denise Breton (Living Justice Press), and Kathryn Kelley (Metro State).
