The Piper men's hockey team had costly some mid-period blues in a 3-0 loss at St. Olaf Saturday night. The Oles scored once in each period ... and each time it was between the 10 and 11 minute marks of the frame. Otherwise, goalie Matt Hemingway was firm, recording 25 saves. He was at his best in the second period, recording 15 stops.
Hamline tested Ole goalie Henrik Wood 25 times with Tyler Johnson getting six shots on goal Brandon Zurn having four.
Hamline fell to 0-7-1 overall, 0-4-0 in the MIAC. They will look for their first win November 23-24 when they entertain Lake Forest in a non-conference holiday series at Vadnais Heights. Friday's game is at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday's affair begins at 5:00 p.m.
