Men's Hockey Hosts Two Games In Two Sites

McElhone in action

With a week to go before MIAC action starts, the Piper men's hockey team will play host to a pair of Wisconsin neighbors this weekend. Hamline (0-1-1)  welcomes Wis-Eau Claire (2-0-0) to its regular home ice at the Vadnais Heights Sports Complex on Friday, November 2 at 7:00 p.m. The Blugolds swept Wis-Stout last weekend.

On Saturday, November 3, HU returns to its former home -- Drake Arena on the campus of Saint Paul Academy -- for a game against Wis-River Falls. The Falcons take a 2-0 record (after wins over Marian and Finlandia) into a November 2 game against Bethel before meeting the Pipers.

Playing in the annual MIAC Hockey Showcase last weekend in Blaine, Hamline dropped its opener to Gustavus, 2-0, before rallying for a 5-5 OT tie with Concordia two days later. The weekend series will mark the home debut of first year HU men's coach Doc DelCastillo.
