When your team is looking to end a mini-losing streak, you often look to your veterans to lead the way. In the case of the HU volleyball team, that would be the team's lone two-year regular, Sam Greeney-Hamlin. The St. Cloud, Minn. junior led a balanced attack as Hamline won a closer-than-it-looked 3-0 match in Mankato Tuesday night.
HU improved to 13-3 overall with a pair of 26-24 wins sandwiched around a 25-15 middle set triumph.
Sophomores Steph Kaup and Paige Walters had seven kills each and Lynsey Reimer recorded 18 digs for the Pipers in their second straight 3-0 conquest of BLC this season. Three first year players also had big nights. Becka Mozes had 15 assists and 10 digs while Katie Ayres had eight assists and Jamie Rubbelke added eight digs.
Hamline now returns to Hutton Arena for a Friday MIAC matchup with Carleton. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
