Despite the huge net, scoring goals has never been an easy thing to do on a soccer field. But Hamline's men's soccer team hopes to reverse that notion Wednesday afternoon when they travel to Northfield to meet St. Olaf in a MIAC matchup. Game time in Northfield is 4:00 p.m.
The Pipers (2-6-1 overall, 0-3 MIAC) start the second half of the season with a two-game losing skein. The second of those was a last-second 3-2, 2 OT setback at Macalester Saturday night. Still, first year HU coach Alex Morawiecki found encouraging signs, pointing to the fact that HU twice came from a one-goal deficit to tie the game.
They face an Ole team stands 4-3-1 overall (1-0-1 MIAC). St. Olaf has alloawed just nine goals in eight games played, the third best figure in the MIAC. A video link for Wednesday's game can be accessed by clicking here.
After this game, Hamline plays four of its next five games on home soil, starting with St. Thomas on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 1:00 p.m.
