Men's Soccer Falls At Northwestern

Derrick Mora

Three soccer games in four days is a tall order for any team. For Hamline's men's soccer team, it proved too much to handle. Despite a solid performance in goal from Derrick Mora (pictured at right), who made four saves in his starting debut, HU couldn't get their offense moving in a 1-0 non-conference loss at Northwestern.

Hamline fell to 2-5-1 on the season.

It was a tight, taut defensive affair all the way. The Pipers managed just five shots all day, three of them by Tyler Tallacksen. The Eagles finally broke the scoreless draw on a goal with eight minutes remaining.

The Pipers will now regroup and get ready for a prime time MIAC matchup September 22 at Macalester. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
