Like the adage of getting back on your bicycle after you have fallen off, the Hamline volleyball team looks to shake off a 3-0 loss to Concordia Wednesday when they travel to St. Catherine's for a tournament this weekend. The Pipers will play two matches each day. On Friday, the Pipers will play back-to-back matches, facing Luther (5-4) at 5:00 p.m. and coming back to battle Bethany Lutheran (1-8) at 7:00 p.m. The next day, HU will see two teams they saw last weekend in their own tournament. At 10:00 a.m., HU tangles with Crown (2-5). After a quick respite, it's a 2:00 p.m. rematch with Wis-Stout (4-5). Last weekend, these two teams staged a memorable five game battle with Hu winning the deciding game, 15-5, to claim a 3-2 margin for the match.
Although there will be no live stats for Hamline's matches in this tournament, there is a website that will place boxscores up as they become available. To access the site, click here.
Hamline will take an 8-1 won-loss record into the tournament. The win total is just one shy of the team total for the entire 2011 season.
