Call them Hamline's Fab Four. Travis Latzke, Christian Willman, Arthur Moore and Freddie Galloway zipped to victory in the 4 x 400 Meter Relay at the Macalester Twilight Meet April 26. In addition to that win, Hamline had a pair of second and third place finishes. In a 14-team field that included a D-I program (the University of Minnesota) and a D-II team (Minnesota-Duluth), the Pipers tied with St. Olaf four fourth place in the team standings with 70.5 points.
Brennan McKeag heaved the Shot Put 51-03.75 feet to finish second behind a U-M thrower. It was part of 2-3-4 HU finish with Joe Morelli and Ben Dvorak close behind. Christian Kibler earned the other runner-up honor when he leaped 43-11.75 feet, less than six inches from the leader. Derrick Mora was third in the 100 Meter Dash with a 11.24 timing.
The Pipers will compete Saturday at Gustavus. That meet is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. You can view live results of that meet by clicking here.
