HU Alum Dan Kaczrowski One Step From Major Leagues

In spring training, Dan Kaczrowski was told his versatility would be a bonus for him as a Arizona Diamondback farmhand. His ability to be an outfielder or an infielder is one of the reasons why he has been promoted to Reno, the D-Backs AAA affiliate. The 2009 HU grad, who appeared in one spring training game with the D-Backs, had been limited to just 22 plate appearances so far in 2012 for AA Mobile. But he has now moved up to the AAA team to replace IF A.J. Ransom, who was promoted to the major league team.

It didn't take long for Dan to see action. On Friday, April 20, he made his Aces debut. Inserted in the game in the seventh inning at 3B, he grounded out in his only plate appearance in a 5-2 loss at Fresno.
