Women's T & F Wins Five Events; Takes Third At Norse Relays

 Becky Culp won a pair of events and captured a third to lead Hamline's women to a third place finish at the Norse Relays in Decorah, Iowa, April 14. The junior heaved the Shot Put 43-04.25 feet to handily win the event by nearly two feet. Her Discus effort of 140-08 was part of 1-2-3 finish for the Pipers in that event. Shawny Kramer was second followed by Alana Profit. Brenna Coyle won the Hammer Throw with a 166-11 performance, edging out Kramer who checked in at 164-04. Coyle's effort set a new Carlson Stadium record.

Other HU winners were Carolyne Bocovich in the 12000 Meter Run (40:24.85) and freshman Georgia Korsah in the Long Jump (16-08.00).

Hamline finished with 167 points, easily ahead of conference foes St. Mary's and Augsburg as well as Division II Concordia-St. Paul.
