Men's Tennis Stays Unbeaten In Florida

Hamline's men's tennis team won five of its six singles matches en route to making it two victories in a row in Florida. The Pipers rallied from an early deficit for a 5-4 win over Oglethorpe (GA) in Orlando, Fla.

The doubles team of David Croonquist-Robert Becker got the day off to a good start with a 8-5 win. HU's other two doubles teams lost but Croonquist and Becker then recorded straight set victories in singles. Bernard Mitambo worked long to gain a three-set win and a 4-2 lead. However, Oglethorpe won the next two singles matches to even things up at 4-4. Derek Lutz then recorded a 6-1, 6-3 victory to give the Pipers the win and improve their overall mark to 3-4.

Hamline will face Elmhurst (Ill.) Tuesday.
