All year long, Mike Campbell bedeviled MIAC coaches with his offensive and defensive abilities. Today, that hard work has been rewarded. The senior is the only Piper to be named to the All-Conference team announced by the league this afternoon. It is the second year in a row the Burnsville, Minn, native has been named to the team. Campbell led the Pipers in scoring with 14.2 ppg and in rebounds with 5.4 ppg. He also led the league by a wide margin with 63 Steals. Although he only played two seasons here, Mike is on the school's All-Time Top ten lists in four categories.
Two other Pipers -- Dior Ford and Levi Wenrich -- also drew coaches' plaudits. Ford was named to the five-player All-First Year team. Thanks to a 12-game streak in the middle of the season in which he scored in double digits, Dior averaged 11.5 ppg with a season high of 22 at Bethel Jan. 14. He had a double-double (17 points, 11 rebounds) at Concordia, Dec. 10.
Wenrich, who leaves here fifth all-time in Assists with 276, drew Honorable Mention. The senior led the team in Minutes Played (594) and Assists (66). Brandon Reig was named to the All-Sportsmanship team.
