Becker Improves To 4-0 In Men's Tennis Loss To Huskies

It was a case of doubles trouble for the Piper men's tennis team at St. Cloud State Saturday. The singles players split their six matches but the Division II Huskies swept the doubles battles to claim a 6-3 win. David Croonquist  improved to 2-0 and Robert Becker vaulted to 4-0 with singles win. No. 3 Bernard Mitambo also had a straight set triumph. But SCSU won the next three (including a three set win over No. 5 singles Andrew Lutz) and swept the doubles matches as well.

The Pipers didn't go down easily. Becker and Croonquist lost 8-5 and Mitambo and Sam Teitelbaum fell 8-6.

Hamline is 1-3 overall and faces MIAC foe St. Thomas March 10.
