Pipers Run Well At UM Snowshoe Open
It was a chance to compete against some D-I and D-II runners ... and Hamline's men's track team was up to the challenge. The Pipers held their own very well against the mixed field at the annual U of M Snowshoe Open Friday.
Devin Monson
had the best individual effort. coming in second in the 3000 meter Run withe a time of 8:27.44 (two and a half seconds behind the UM runner who won it and .01 off the school record).
Ellis Richardson
impressed as well, finishing in fifth place (8:34.22) .
Christian Willman
ran sixth in the 400 meter Dash (50.83).
In the field,
Derrick Mora
leaped 6.58 meter to finish fifth in the Long Jump, ahead of all MIAC competitors.
Brennan McKeag
threw the Shot Put 15.83m to land in fifth place, tops among all D-III competitors (and five D-II throwers and a Gopher).
Andrew Schlichting
was eighth in the Weight Throw (16.75m).
The meet was unscored.
