Piper Pucksters Have Test At St. John's

They're all important games now. With six games remaining on their schedule, HU travels to St. Cloud tonight to face St. John's at the National Hockey Center. The Pipers' 4-5-1 MIAC mark has them in fifth place, the last available playoff position. St. John's is 4-4 in league play. Both teams are coming off successful weekend. After earning a 2-2 tie on Friday night, HU defeated Augsburg, 3-0, Saturday afternoon for goalie Beau Christian's seventh career shutout. The senior recorded 76 saves in the two games, including a season high 41 on Friday. The Johnnies swept Concordia at home, 2-1 and 4-1. Goalie J.D. Wells had 43 save sin the two games and was named the MIAC Men's Hockey Athlete of the Week. 

This is the first of ja two-game series. The teams will meet again Friday night in Vadnais Heights. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
