Pipers Place Third In Hamline Invite

Encouraged by an enthusiastic, standing-room only crowd at Walker Fieldhouse, Hamline placed a close third in Sunday's initial home gymnastics meet of the season. The Pipers totaled 175.850 points, narrowly being edged out by second-place UW-Stout (176.80), UW-Whitewater finished first with a total of 180.85. Gustavus placed fourth with 167.60 points.

Courtney Benson and Jacklyn Clement had solid performances. The duo tied for the team lead in in the vault with a score of 9.175 points. Clement topped out on the Bars at 9.15 points while Benson led the Floor competition with a score of 9.3. Katie Hall topped the Piper competitors on the beam at 89.75.

Hamline's next meet is at UW-Eau Claire Friday night.
