The final tests are done and the time have come for the Piper men's hockey team to change their focus from textbooks to the ice. Hamline looks to snap a three-game losing streak when they visit Milwaukee School Of Engineering Friday night for a non-conference game. Game time at Kern Center is 7:00 p.m.

The Raiders are currently 9-3-0 overall. They are tied for first place with Adrian in the MCHA (Midwest College Hockey Association) with a 7-1-0 record. Last Saturday, MSOE lost 2-1 at Bethel. The night before, they had defeated St. John's 4-3. They also split a November series at St. Mary's, losing 2-1 in OT before winning 6-0.
Last season, the teams welcomed in 2011 with a January 1 game at Warner Coliseum. It was a tight game until the final 90 seconds when HU scored twice into an empty net for a 4-1 win. Brian Arrigoni led HU with two goals. Beau Christian was sharp in goal, making 33 saves (15 in the first period alone).
The Piper will keep on their kick of playing tough non-conference foes when they travel to Oswego, NY for a New Year's Eve tournament. Hamline faces Neumann (7-3-0) on December 30 at 3:00 p.m. CST. The next day, they will play either Connecticut College (2-6-0) or host Oswego (9-1-2) the next day.
