The 'A' game is a beautiful thing to watch. Hamline's men registered several season highs and led nearly from start to finish in a 81-64 win over St. Olaf Wednesday night at Hutton Arena. Mike Campbell was runnin' and gunnin' all night, scoring a season high 26 points and a team high seven rebounds and four steals. Dior Ford added 19 and Noah Aguirre pitched in 13 as the Pipers recorded season highs for points, steals (14) and bench points (16).
HU trailed only once ... at 2-0.They had eight first half thefts and 17 rebounds en route to a 37-27 intermission edge. They wasted no time letting the Oles know there would be no comeback tonight by opening the second half with a 21-10 burst in the first six minutes. The lead stretched to 23 points late in the game as Hamline snapped a four-game losing skein and improved to 2-4 overall, 1-3 in the MIAC.
Counting exhibitions, HU has played seven of eight games at Hutton Arena. They now get a taste of life on the road Saturday when they visit Concordia in Moorhead. Game time is set for 3:00 p.m.
