Volleyball team loses at Gustavus

Sam Greeney-Hamlin (So., Saint Cloud, Minn.) had nine kills but it wasn't enough as Hamline's volleyball team lost, 3-0, at Gustavus Adolphus Wednesday night. After losing the first game 14-25, the Pipers made the Gusties work for it but lost the next two games by identical 22-25 scores. In addition to Greeny-Hamlin's efforts, Paige Walters (Fy., Nevis, Minn.) added eight kills. Sammie Miller (Fy., Grand Island, Neb.) dished out 26 assists. Lynsey Reimer (Fy., Peosta, Iowa) had 13 digs.

Hamline, which is now 8-16 overall (0-7 in the MIAC), has a week off before playing at Hutton Arena for a pair of matches. Macalester visits next Wednesday for a 7:00 p.m. match. St. Mary's is here Oct. 22 for a 3:00 p.m. affair.
