Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead is a critically acclaimed absurdist tragicomedy that takes audiences on an unforgettable journey through Shakespeare’s Hamlet in the shoes of two of the play’s most forgettable characters, the carefree Rosencrantz and the introspective Guildenstern. As the pair struggle desperately for control of their lives when the preordained events of the play begin to overwhelm them, they begin to realize they are far out of their depth. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead raises deep questions about the nature of human agency while cracking jokes and interrogates the concept of free will with a comedic flair.
