Innovative New Way to Reach Prospective Undergraduates

Hamline’s Undergraduate Admission, Marketing and Creative Services, and Information Technology Services departments have launched an innovative new way to reach prospective students and tell the Hamline story.

The new digital viewbook brings the Hamline experience to prospective students in an interactive, student-driven, mobile-friendly online format. Created with lots of valuable input from Hamline faculty and staff, the viewbook showcases the best of what Hamline has to offer in academics, co-curricular and student activities, study abroad, and athletics. Prospective students can experience Hamline through the eyes of current undergraduates by Picking a Piper who represents the diverse and eclectic opportunities available at the university. These Pipers share their insights about the aspects of Hamline they are involved in through quotes and photos. They also give insider information about the many off-campus opportunities offered in the Twin Cities, from food, arts, and athletics, to internships and volunteering.

This new digital format not only reaches prospective students in the mobile and digital spaces where they spend so much time, but it saves on expensive printing costs of the traditional multi-page paper viewbook. The digital format also enables Hamline to quickly reach a much larger audience locally, nationally, and internationally, and generate new inquiries from areas that haven’t been reached before.
