During recent travels, Chaplain Nancy Victorin-Vangerud presented a paper "From Soil to Sacrament" at the Australia-New Zealand Association of Theological Schools (ANZATS), in Western Australia.
Nancy then spent two weeks in Taiwan traveling as a guest of the Taiwan Ecological Stewardship Association (TESA). One week was spent with various TESA sites for sustainable agriculture , and one week participating with the 28th Caretakers of the Environment International Conference, an annual conference for high school students and their teachers of environmental science. As a guest of TESA, she preached and led two workshops on "Good Soil, Good Food: Practices of Caring for the Soil as Spiritual Practices" at Shin-Tien Presbyterian Church, in Taipei, and at Khau Pi Presbyterian Church in Tainan. She also presented an interfaith workshop for high school students and teachers at the 28th Caretakers of the Environment International Conference in Yilan, Taiwan.
