Naomi Taylor, faculty member in the School of Education, presented at the National Conference on Race & Ethnicity
(NCORE) May 26 - 31. She co-presented a full day pre-institute conference with Professor Emeritus James Bonilla on the Five Lenses for Educating & Assessing Cultural Competence
as well as a session on her recent doctoral research
, Exploring How Faculty Members in Higher Education Respond to an Assessment of their Intercultural Competency.
Professor Taylor was recently also appointed to serve on the National Advisory Council (NAC) for NCORE. She will serve on the student participation and leadership committee. Taylor hopes to contribute to the commitment that Hamline currently has supporting undergraduate students and College of Liberal Arts faculty to attend NCORE. She also hopes to expand opportunities for faculty in the other schools and for graduate students to participate at NCORE.
