Jen Gehrig, who has served as assistant dean for the Hamline School of Education for the past six and a half years, has been named director of marketing and admission for the Hamline School of Education.
In this role, Gehrig will serve as the strategic lead for marketing and admissions for the school, provide day-to-day oversight and implementation of marketing, communications, and admissions projects in conjunction with the director of marketing for the School of Business and the director of graduate admission. She will also consult with the dean of the school on retention efforts.
“I am eager to work with my colleagues in marketing, admissions, and in the School of Education to bolster our recruitment efforts and strengthen our retention efforts. I am passionate and committed to being a part of the solution to the enrollment challenges faced by higher education and the School of Education, in particular,” Gehrig said of her new role.
As assistant dean, Gehrig helped lead the school through several changes in organizational structure and leadership, built operational structures for administrative and academic functions, and spent the last year and a half facilitating the development of its marketing and enrollment management activities. Prior to that, she served two years as a consultant for NeuVest, Inc., an employment investigations firm, and she was a partner and attorney in practice five years for the law firm Dady & Garner in Minneapolis.
“Jen Gehrig’s deep understanding of the Hamline School of Education, its programs, and its people will be a huge asset as we align the marketing, recruitment, and retention efforts with the school’s changing needs,” Ann Ness, Hamline’s vice president for marketing and enrollment, said. “She is bright, articulate, forward-thinking, and yet reflective. I have no doubt she will be a wonderful fit for our team.”
Gehrig earned her bachelor’s degree in English and philosophy from the Hamline College of Liberal Arts and her JD from Hamline School of Law. She also holds a master’s degree in theology from St. Catherine’s University. She and her husband, Kevin, reside in Saint Paul.
Jen Gehrig’s office will be located in the 734 Snelling building, and she can be reached at x2586 or email@example.com. The School of Education is working through the transition with Gehrig leaving her role as assistant dean and will be announcing an update on that process in the coming days.
Please join her colleagues in marketing and enrollment in congratulating Jen Gehrig on her new role at Hamline.
