Johnson Presents at National Symposium

Director of the Adult Basic Education Teaching and Learning Advancement System (ATLAS) in the School of Education, Kimberly Johnson was an invited speaker on a panel highlighting national and state initiatives for adult English language teaching at the International Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages conference in Dallas, Texas on March 21, 2013. Organized by the Office of Vocational and Adult Education at the U.S. Department of Education, Kim presented "Supporting Teachers to Meet the Needs of Low-literacy Adult Learners," outlining the use of study circles to build capacity and meet the needs of teachers across Minnesota.
