With the NCAA Division III regional race a week away, the Hamline cross country teams head to Collegeville November 2 to compete in the annual Fall Finale race. The 5 p.m. event takes place at the Radio Tower Fields.
This race often serves as a barometer for things to come as head coach Paul Schmaedeke indicated he plans to have runners who haven't competed that much this season hit the course.
The Pipers will have lots of company. Teams from Bethel, Black Hills State (S.D.), Gustavus Adolphus, St. John's, Martin Luther,
Minnesota, Minnesota-Morris, North Central (Minn.), Northwestern (Minn.) and
South Dakota State are expected to be there on the men's side. Last year, Hamline finished third in this meet.
The Piper women were fourth in last year's race. They will go up against teams from St. Benedict, Bethel, Gustavus Adolphus, Northwestern, North Central, Minnesota-Morris,
South Dakota State, Black Hills State, and Martin Luther.
The NCAA Division III Central Regionals are November 10 in Northfield.
