What a way to go out. Hamline's men's soccer team finished with an afternoon to remember, scoring a record seven first half goals en route to a 10-0 win over Finlandia Saturday at Paterson Field.

Jesse Hawker, one of five seniors playing their final game, recorded the first hat trick by a HU player since 2007. Michael Murphy and Sam Studer added two goals each with Sam Slagle, Greg Northrop and Marko Doder added singletons.

Eric Feil recorded his second straight shutout as HU finished the season 3-12-3 under first year coach Alex Morawiecki.

Hamline pounced on the Lions early, jumping to a 3-0 lead in the first 18:23 of play. They pushed the lead to 7-0 by the 40 minute mark and coasted to the win from there. The 10 goals marked the second highest total ever recorded in a game by a Piper team. The 14 assists is a team record.
