Senior Soccer Players Hoping To End On A Home Winning Note

Slagle

The Piper men's soccer team gets a last shot at ending the season on a high, happy note. Seniors Sam Slagle (pictured), Korben Anglin, Eric Feil, Jesse Hawker and  Sam Studer take their last bow as the Pipers (2-12-3) wrap up the home season with a non-conference match against Finlandia at Paterson Field this afternoon.

 Game time is 1:00 p.m.

The Pipers are 2-0-2 in their last four home non-conference tilts. They will try to stretch that to five against the Lions, who stand 4-9 on the season.

Last Tuesday, Feilearned his second shutout of the season as Hamline put a serious dent in St. John's playoff hopes with a 0-0 tie in Collegeville. It was the second draw in the last three games for HU, who also deadlocked Wis-Superior by a 1-1 count on October 17.

The Pipers' lone triumphs of the season came on the home terra firma. The second of those was a 3-2 win over then undefeated Buena Vista.
