The Minnesota weather has changed enough so that it is unlikely to get stung by a yellowjacket bee. The Piper women's soccer team hopes the same is true on the field as well. Hamline will take an 8-3-1 overall mark into a non-conference tilt against Wis-Superior (3-9 overall) at Paterson Field on Tuesday, October 10. Game time is 4:00 p.m.
The Pipers are coming off a 2-1 win over St. Mary's that lifted them into a tie for third place with Augsburg, St. Olaf and St. Thomas for the fourth and final playoff spot. Each team has 10 points on three wins and a tie. (Augsburg and St. Olaf have a game in hand on the Pipers and UST. They face each other Tuesday in Northfield.)
After Tuesday, the Pipers have just one more game at Paterson Field (Oct. 24 vs. St. Ben's.) They return to MIAC play Saturday at Carleton (6-3-3, 2-2- in MAC play heading into a Wednesday game with St. Mary's.)
