Piper VB Starts Fast But Falls To Luther Rally, 3-1

Katie Ayres Kill

Hamline's volleyball team got off to a roaring start but fell to a late Luther rally and dropped a 3-1 decision to the Norse in a non-conference match Saturday afternoon at Hutton Arena. Katie Ayres had 10 kills to pace the Piper offense with Becka Mozes setting the table well with 28 assists. Lynsey Reimer recorded 21 digs with Mozes adding a dozen.

It was the Pipers' first non-conference loss this year. Hamline is now 14-7 overall (0-6 in the MIAC). They return to action Wednesday against Gustavus at Hutton Arena. The match will begin at 7:00 p.m.
