As you can see from the picture on the right, Hamline sophomore soccer forward Aileen Scheibner is used to drawing company on the field. But she has worked her way through it anyway, leading the team in goals (7) and points (16). Last week, she upped her game to scoring in bunches, getting two quick goals in a 3-0 win over Northwestern and a 4-3 OT loss to Macalester. For this work, she has been named the MIAC  Women's Soccer Athlete of The Week.

It is the second time the Woodbury, Minn. native has won the award. She earned it as well in October 2011.

Last Tuesday, Scheibner struck twice in three minutes (one on a penalty kick) as the Pipers stuffed the eagles for their fifth shutout of the season. On Saturday, she connected twice in a span of less than seven minutes to help Hamline get off to a quick start against the Scots.

Although she has only played 26 games in her HU career, Scheibner is already climbing up the Hu career scoring ladder. Her 19 career goals already ranks second to Ann Donner on the school's all-time list. She started this week ranked second in the MIAC in goals and third in points.

Scheibner celebrated by garnering an assist on the game's only goal in a 1-0 win over St. Olaf Tuesday afternoon. Scheibner's free kick was deflected in by Jordan Sammons with less than ten minutes left in regulation to lift the Pipers to the win.
