Professor Andrea Bell of the Hamline Modern Languages and Literature department is the co-translator of The Time Ship: A Chrononautical Journey. The Spanish novel was recently published by Wesleyan University Press. It is thought to contain Western literature's first time machine. It was originally published in Spain in 1887, eight years before H. G. Wells' The Time Machine.
