Piper Baseball Team Hopes To Keep Playoff Hopes Alive At Concordia April 29

Still alive for a playoff spot, Hamline's baseball team plays its final road games of the season at Concordia. With a bad forecast on the horizon (a forecast that proved to be accurate), the games were moved back 24 hours and will be played on Sunday, April 29, starting at 1:00 p.m. (Weather forecast is for the temps in the mid 60s with a chance of rain in the afternoon. It is likely to be windy, too (20-30 mph ESE).

The Pipers, the defending MIAC playoff champ, stand 5-9 in MIAC play after splitting a pair of games with Augsburg April 24 at Midway Stadium. The Auggies are 9-7 and currently hold that final playoff spot. Concordia, 7-7 in MIAC play, is also in the mix for that postseason position.

Hamline finishes its season with home doubleheaders at Midway Stadium next week against St. Mary's (May 2) and St. Olaf (May 5). Both doubleheaders will start at 2:30 p.m. The latter is a time switch. it has originally been scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start.
