U.S. Bank now provides
the banking functionality for the Hamline ID Card, offering a variety of
services to students, faculty, and staff. The services include access to the campus meal
plan and the ability to check out materials at the campus library. The Hamline ID Card
can also be used as an ATM and PIN-based debit card when linked to a U.S. Bank
checking account. It can be used as a debit card at
merchants in the United States that accept PIN debit point of sale purchases.
Through this partnership, all students, faculty and staff have the option to choose from a variety of
U.S. Bank financial products and services.
"We
are extremely pleased to offer the newly designed and increasingly versatile
Hamline ID cards," Hamline University Vice President for Finance Doug
Anderson said. "This partnership with U.S. Bank will allow our students
and employees the convenience of aligning a PIN-based U.S. Bank debit card and
a Hamline ID card, should a student or employee choose to do so, eliminating
the need for two separate cards and providing multiple uses -- from ATM
withdrawals to library material check-outs and campus meal plan purchases."
“U.S. Bank is proud to
partner with Hamline University
for its campus ID card,” said Elliot Jaffee, market president for U.S. Bank in
the Twin Cities. “Faculty and staff who choose the option of having a U.S.
Bank account connected to the card will find it very convenient.”
In addition to Hamline University, U.S. Bank
partners with more than 50 colleges and universities to provide campus
banking services. These schools include Bethel
University in St.
Paul; Normandale Community College in Bloomington,
Minn.; Southwest
Minnesota State
University in Marshall;
Metropolitan State College of Denver; San Diego State University;
Iowa State
