Culp Cops Pair Of Events At Carleton

One could hardly blame Hamline's women's track and field team if they did some singing in the rain in Northfield Saturday. Although the meet was unscored, HU still had plenty to celebrate as they came home with five victories and 12 other top five finishes at the Carleton Relays.

Becky Culp led the way with triumphs in the Shot Put (43-2 1/2) and the Discus (136-11). She was closely followed in the Shot by Erin Urbanowicz, Jessica Putland and Jerri Koltveit, who came in 2-3-5. Other HU winners: Hope Hertz (100 Meter Hurdles, 18.12), Hannah Toedter (3000 Meter Steeplechase, 12:23.29. Dani Vitale was second) and Brenna Coyle, whose Hammer Throw of 165-4 was four feet better than second place Shawny Kramer.
