HU Track and Field Teams Move Up In Regional Rankings

Hamline's Track and Field teams are on the move. The men's and women's teams each moved up one spot in the latest USTFCCCA Central Region rankings. The men's team is now in third place with 276.32, ahead of MIAC foes St. John's, st. Thomas, Bethel, Gustavus and St. Olaf (all of whom are in the Top Ten in the region). The women advanced to ninth place with 137.94 points.

Becky Culp is in the Top Ten in Division III in both the Discus and Shot Put. Culp ranks 8th in the Discus with her 144-0 at the Hamline Invitational April 6 and is tied for 10th in the Shot Put with her 43 5 3/4 performance at the Point Loma Invitational March 17. Teammate Brenna Coyle stands sixth in the Hammer after her 173-2 showing at Point Loma. On the men's side, Brennan McKeag still ranks fourth in the land in the Hammer, having thrown 190-11, also at Point Loma.

Both teams will be in Northfield this weekend, albeit at different sites. The women will compete at St. Olaf while the men will be in action at Carleton.
