Hamline's women's tennis team continues to have growing pains. The Pipers dropped their home opener to St. Mary's, 7-2, on a brisk, sunny afternoon. Cassie Wallerich improved to 3-7 in singles with a hard-fought 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 hard-fought victory at No. 3 singles. Hamline's other triumph came in doubles as the No. 2 team of Anna Yarbrough and Katie Tarnowski recorded a solid 8-3 win.
HU is 0-10 overall (0-3 MIAC). They return to action Monday, April 2 against St. Olaf at home. The match is set for 4:00 p.m.
