It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon in St. Paul. The temperature hovered around 80 degrees with plenty of sun and a nice breeze. Unfortunately for the Hamline baseball team, they were in Arizona where they ran into rain that postponed the scheduled Sunday game against Luther. The teams plan to make it up on Wednesday, March 21. That was a scheduled off day for the Norse. The Pipers will play a rare doubleheader against two separate foes. They are scheduled to face Wisconsin-Superior at 11:00 a.m. local time. The game with the Norse will be made up later that day.
Hamline, currently 6-7, has no game scheduled Monday. They resume action (weather permitting) Tuesday against Carthage (WI). The Red Men, ranked 14th in the March 13 National Collegiate Baseball Writers
Association D3baseball.com poll, opened their season with a 14-1 win over Dakota Wesleyan. They, too, were rained out Sunday. They are scheduled to face Luther and Carleton today.
