Thomas Co-Authors UNESCO Booklet

Matthew A.M. Thomas, adjunct faculty in the School of Education, recently co-authored the fourth volume in the "Fundamentals of Teacher Education Development" series published by United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). This peer-reviewed booklet, entitled “Ensuring quality by attending to inquiry: Learner-centered pedagogy in sub-Saharan Africa,” explores different conceptualizations of constructivist pedagogy across educational contexts in Africa and critically examines how extant educational policy frameworks and classroom realities influence instructional practice and the learning process itself.
