Brenna Coyle has been making a good impression on her Division III foes all winter. On Saturday, she got the attention of her Division I and II rivals as well. The senior's throw of 17.39m (a season best) topped a prestigious field at the U of Minnesota Parents' Day Open meet. Coyle's throw beat competitors from the U of Minnesota, Minnesota-Duluth, Minn-State Mankato and several D-III rivals.
Becky Culp had a good day, too. She was seventh in Weight Throw and finished in the same position with a 12.23m performance in the Shot Put.
Christina Walker finished sixth in the 200 Meter Dash but set a new Hamline Indoor record with a timing of 26.42 seconds. Heather Hollinger had the Pipers' other individual Top Ten effort when she came in sixth in the 5000 Meter Run (19:31.83). The 4 x 400 Relay team came in 10th place (4:08.16).
The meet was unscored.
