Sarah Schneekloth recorded 49 saves as Hamline battled Concordia well but fell, 3-2, in Moorhead Saturday afternoon. Haley Johnson and Ashley Maskel scored for HU, which now stands 4-9-1 in the MIAC (8-11-2 overall).
Johnson got the Pipers off to a good start when she scored her seventh goal of the season just 1:53 into the game. The Cobbers, rated No. 10 in the country, came back for three goals before the period's end to take a 3-1 lead. Schneekloth, however, put the hammer down from there and didn't allow another tally, handling 37 shots flawlessly.
Maskel made it 3-2 with her second of the year midway through the second period on a power play. HU got two more PP chances but was unable to get the equalizer.
Hamline will face St. Catherine next Friday at Warner Coliseum. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
