Volleyballers Lose To St. Thomas, 3-0

The good news is Hamline's volleyball team doesn't have to return to St. Thomas for two years. Good thing, too. They didn't enjoy this visit very much. The Tommies, part of a three-way tie for first place in the uber-talented MIAC, beat the Pipers, 3-0. The scores were 12-25, 15-25, 15-25. Sam Greeney-Hamlin (So., Saint Cloud, Minn.), the team's only non-first year player, led the Piper attack with eight kills. Sammie Miller (Fy., Grand Island, Neb.) had 16 assists and her twin sister Frankie led with eight digs.

Hamline is now 1-9 in the MIAC, 9-18 overall. They finish the season Friday night at Augsburg. The match begins at 7:00 p.m.
