Two Quick Goals Do In Pipers, 3-0

Two goals two minutes apart midway through the second half spelled doom for Hamline's men's soccer team Friday night. The Pipers were trailing 1-0 in the second half when the Auggies netted that quick pair of goals. Hamline was unable to muster a rally and ended up on the short end of a 3-0 decision at Edor Nelson Field. HU was outshot, 15-9, for the game. Kevin Gjservig (Fy., Mankato, Minn.) and Ibou Wone (Sr., Dakar, Senegal) led the HU offensive attack with three shots apiece. Zach Nelson (Sr., Eagan, Minn.) had five saves in goal for the Pipers.

Hamline is now 3-11-2 overall, 1-6-2 in the MIAC. They return to Paterson Field Tuesday for their home (and conference) finale against Saint John's. Game time is 3:30 p.m. The regular season finale is next Friday at Jamestown (ND).
