12 hours after a draining, tense, five set  victory over the host school, Hamline's volleyball team found that lightning really doesn't strike twice in the same spot. HU fell twice Saturday at the U of Dubuque tournament, losing to Clarke, 3-1 and Coe College, 3-0.

HU got off to a good start against Clarke, winning the initial match, 25-19. But they lost the next three, 18-25, 21-25, 17-25. Stephanie Kaup (Fy., Chandler, Ariz.) led the offense with 11 kills, adding six digs. Lynsey Reimer (Fy., Peosta, Iowa) rang up 20 digs and Sammie Miller (Fy., Grand Island, Neb) added 13 (She also had 31 assists).

Paige Walters (Fy., Nevis, Minn.) and Frankie Miller (Fy., Grand Island, Neb.) led the charge against the Kohawks with eight kills each. Reimer had 14 more digs and Becka Mozes (Fy., Eden Prairie, Minn.) contributed 14 assists. But Coe prevailed in straight sets, 18-25, 22-25, 19-25.
