Offense Struggles In 34-0 Loss At Carleton

Hamline fell into an early hole and couldn't get moving in a 34-0 football loss at Carleton Saturday. HU QB Connor Sathre (Sr., Maple Grove, Minn.)  passed for 59 yards and rushed for 24 more. Blake Cook (Jr., Fridley, Minn.) also rushed for 24 yards for HU. Terry Schwartz (Sr., Saint Paul, Minn.) led the receivers with three catches for 37 yards.

LB Olajuwan Stiffler (So., Troutdale, Ore.) had a huge day on defense, recording a dozen unassisted tackles, finishing with 13 overall.

Hamline is 0-3 overall, 0-2 in the MIAC.

The Pipers take a break from conference play next week when they travel down Snelling Ave. for their traditional battle with Macalester. The two teams first meet in 1887, making this one of the oldest rivalries in college football. Hamline won last year's game, 49-30.
