Volleyball Team Falls To St. Olaf

Unfortunately for the Hamline volleyballers, St. Olaf showed the form that vaulted them into the NCAA tournament Saturday at Hutton Arena. The Pipers were swept,3-0, by an Ole team that finished with a .221 attack percentage.

The Pipers had a rough start, losing the first set 9-25. The next two sets went better but HU came up short, 13-25, 16-25.  As a result, the youthful Pipers now stand 6-9 overall and 0-3 in the MIAC.

Sammie Miller (Fy., Grand Island, Neb.) and Brittany Bredemus (Fy., Andover, Minn.) had nine digs each. Sammie also had seven of her team's 14 assists. Frankie Miller, Sammie's twin sister, had four kills.

Hamline heads out on the road next week. They play at St. Catherine Wednesday. Next weekend, they head south to play four matches in a tournament at Dubuque, Iowa.
