Mens Soccer falls to Bethel

Hamline's men's soccer team held another opponent's offense down Saturday. But they couldn't muster much themselves in a 1-0 loss to Bethel at Paterson Field Saturday afternoon. The Pipers managed five shots -- four of them in the second half -- but Jeremy Tan's goal 10:38 into the game stood up as the lone marker. Spencer VonBehren (Jr., Bloomington, Minn.) had three saves in goal for HU.

The Pipers had a big edge in corner kicks, garnering a season high with a 9-2 margin.

HU, now 0-1-1 in the MIAC and 1-3-1 overall, goes back at it Sunday afternoon against Milwaukee School of Engineering at Paterson Field. Game time is 1:00 p.m. MSOE lost at Augsburg Saturday, 3-1.
