Volleyball Starts Strong But Falls To Falcons In Four

The Piper volleyballers got off to a good start but UW-River Falls had the better finish. As a result, HU fell, 3-1, to the Falcons Friday night in River Falls. Dani Schultz (Fy., Eden Prairie, Minn.) led the Pipers with 10 kills. Brittany Bredemus (Fy., Andover, Minn.) and Sammie Miller (Fy., Grand Island, Neb.) had nine digs each while  Lacy Koss (Fy. Dodger Center, Minn.) added seven.

Hamline took the first game, 25-21 but the Falcons caught fire in the second game, 17-25. They took game 3, 16-25 and wrapped it up in Game 4, 20-25.The Pipers are now 5-6 overall.

They have little time to reflect on the evening's activities. HU returns to action Saturday with contests and UW-Stout (10:30 a.m.) and Waldorf (12:30 p.m.) Both games are part of the UW-River Falls Invitational.
